Abstract
REACHING TO ETYMOLOGY “WITH IN TURKISH PHONO-SEMANTIC MATCHING” TOWARDS PURISM TURKISH
This study will make a small contribution to explaining the relationship between meaning and sound. First of all, the history of the subject was written in the literature. After this introduction, sound symbolization and sound semantic matcing were explained. The development of native language and the development of children's language were written together. Following this examination, the copy and sound semantic matching were examined. After focusing on the production of new Turkish words, the title of purism in the language was passed and the examination was completed.
As a result, another step has been taken in the preparation of the “sound-semantic dictionary” in of Turkish voices. An evaluation was made in the conclusion section. In this article, it was stated that the subject of semantic value of sound was not discussed much and it was tried to be kept on the agenda.
In the bibliography section, some basic studies have been given for the researches to be made.
