Abstract


THE IMAGINATION OF GOD IN ALI ŞİR NEVÂYİ'S DIVINE NAMED GARABÜ’S-SIGAR
The existence and nature of God has been one of the subjects that mankind has been curious about since ancient times. In the historical process, disciplines such as philosophy, mysticism and kalam have put forward different views on the existence and nature of God. Man is a creature created by God. It is possible for man to know God, who is a transcendent being, only to the extent that God introduces himself to people in the holy books through revelation. Apart from this, man's conceptions of God's nature; it will be limited to the culture, perception, accumulation and imagination of the society in which he lives. God vision; It can change according to time, society and religions. Due to the fact that the nature and essence of Allah cannot be perceived by the senses, Islamic scholars have tried to know Allah through the names, attributes and expressions in the Qur’an. The artist reflects the religious beliefs, material and spiritual cultural elements of the society in which he lives; He is the person who aesthetically expresses the society's way of perceiving the beings, life and the universe, briefly the mentality of the era in which he lived. Classical Turkish literature, which has a rich source of different science and art branches, provides important information about Turkish-Islamic civilization. There is a need for interdisciplinary studies in order to reveal the function of transferring culture of classical Turkish literature texts. In this study, with an interdisciplinary approach; Following a text-centered, culture-related method, the subject of God's imagination is discussed in Ali Şîr Nevâyî's divan named Garâibü's-Sıgar.
