Abstract

VOCABULARY OF KYRGYZ LANGUAGE IN THE KADİ BURHANEDDİN’S TUYUĞS
Abstract The foundations of classical Turkish literature and poetry have very old roots. This deep-rooted poetry consists of many literary fields. These areas are distributed over a wide area, especially in Azerbaijan, Anatolia, the Balkans, Chagatai, India, Khorasan, Kipchak, Egypt, Rumelia and Turkestan. Classical Turkish literature, which has such a wide distribution, has a large vocabulary fed by different geographical centers. One of the examples of this vocabulary is Kyrgyz language. When classical poetry is subjected to a deep examination, it is possible to come across many words with the same meaning in Kyrgyz language in the poems written. The most important factor in this common denominator is that the Turkish nation shares the same geography and culture, as well as the fact that all Turkish tribes have a common past. Many studies have been conducted on the tuyuğs of the famous statesman and poet Kadi Burhaneddin. Various comparisons were made, especially the vocabulary of Turkish, the idioms and proverbs in the poet's idioms, antiquated items, and literary arts. However, as a result of the examinations, although many words that have commonality with the Kyrgyz vocabulary were found through the poet's idioms, no comparative study was conducted. In this study, based on the tuyuğs, which are the national verse form created by Kadi Burhaneddin, one of the important names of the Anatolian and Azerbaijani fields, the common vocabulary of Kyrgyz language and the poet's tuyuğs will be examined and a comparison will be made.
