Abstract


THE EUPHEMIST EXPRESSIONS AND GOOD DENOTATIONS IN THE AŞIK VEYSEL’S POEMS
Human beings have already used more beautiful and closed words rather than shame, rude, horror expressions that were creating a problem when ıt said directly. This situation shows that positive effects over the people’s physiology and its effects to dialogues positively. The language is one of the most important factors which are reflections of religion and society’s history. In this context, the language shouldn’t be dissociated from vernaculars. So, in the society, unwritten expressions are given different shapes to language. With these shapes, the language presents different harmonies by creating a rich variety. In this harmony, euphemism and taboo expressions have an extensive place.The taboo and expressions have deep connections with each other and they generally use with together. It can be said that the taboo is everything which has extraordinary, horror, forbidden and at the same time it is mysterious. From this fact, the taboo isn’t used so it caused to euphemism’s appearing. On the other hand, Euphemism is adding fluent telling by using more suitable words than bad, rude, shame and ominous words. although it has been deeply studied about taboo and euphemistic words, in this essay, euphemistic expressions will be analyzed in the poem that is being a different type (Âşık Veysel’s poems).
