Abstract
LYRICS ELEMENTS IN THE KASTAMONU FOLK SONGS WHICH ARE LOCATED IN THE TRT REPERTOIRE
Folk songs(Türküs) usually originate on an event, a desire, an enthusiasm, and are originally proprietary products. However, over time, the true owners of folk songs are forgotten and anonymized by the next generations.
Folk songs are among the most important socio-cultural values of Turkish society. Folk songs has always been a reflection of the way of thinking and living. Our people who live in this land have expressed the pain, the joy , the anger, the happiness with folk songs. Folk songs have united our people around the same sentiments on good and bad days and has allowed them to live in unity and togetherness.
Folk songs can be subject to many review topic and it is also an area of wide research in terms of the elements it contains. The elements mentioned in the folk songs are elements that have non-arbitrary, some connotations, special meanings. These elements provide important clues about all that they belong to. In this sense, the identification and interpretation of such elements is of great importance.
In this study 66 piece of Kastamonu folk songs in TRT repertory have been examined. In this study, the elements of these Turks belonging to the Kastamonu region were determined and the reflection of the Kastamonu cultures was studied.
