Abstract
FOLK CULTURE PRACTICES AROUND TAILORING MATERIALS
In this study which is subjected to application fields of tailoring materials in our folk culture, confronting us as complementary, increasing the function of transition period which is the common name for the integrated folk culture application such as birth, marriage (affiance, engage), death which feeds the Anatolian folk's dynamic structure; applications belonging to folk medicine, folk belief and folk economy which makes remedy, avoidance, making it sustainable aspects become functional formed around the tailoring materials such as needle, thread, scissors, ribbon, bead which is a folk culture factor with their main functions have been explained in integrated reference of basic principles such as Shaman, house-home proprietor, offering, fire, water, iron-iron smith cult belonging to former Turkish religion system.
