Abstract


DEHR IN DÎVÂN OF AZMİ-ZADE HÂLETÎ
In this paper, it is emphasized how Azmi-zade Haleti, who was a poet in 17th century, used the word dehr in his D?v?n. Dehr is a word that means both time and space. The poet often has used this word has the same meanings in the same verses by double entendre (tevriye). It is seen that this word was used mostly to express negativy by the poet. For example, to complain from dehr can be interpreted as saying that it is actually complaining from the time, throughout its deceptiveness, weariness, and transience. When it was used as the meaning of the world, can be say it is used as the place of suffering, sorrow and sadness.
