Abstract
THE THEME OF THE SOIL IN THE DADALOĞLU’S POEMS
Dadaloğlu is one of the important figures of 19th century Anatolian folk poetry who is commonly recognized by his poems composed against the sedentarization policies of the Ottoman Empire.
In this study, setting out from the perception of nature in the poems, of the folk poet and the nomad community he represents. A total of 150 poetry will be examined.
In Dadaloğlu's verbal culture, which is quoted by poems, not only the land, but also many elements of popular culture are encountered.
The nature that Dadaloğlu thinks is snowy, purple-hyacinth springs, forests and fertile lands of Cukurova. Mountains, forests, rivers, springs are the lands where Dadaloglu is longing for.
In the poems of Dadaloğlu, the most mountainous elements pass through natural elements. Other than this, plains, vineyards, gardens, and plains are also frequently used. Plants and animals, which are a part of nature, are also used extensively.
