INTERNET FOLKLORE: NETLORE
Internet is the most effective communication tool of our day. The world has become a global village thanks to the internet. This technological tool has changed the lives of people and society. The world continues to change every day with various innovations. The rapid change of information age has brought about various changes / transformations in social institutions and cultures. In today's world where rapid and dizzying technological developments are experienced, folklore is also affected by these changes. Myth, epic, fairy tale, legend-like products produced by the gathering of people in oral culture environments are now being reproduced through radio, television and internet. The virtual world is the place where mutual interaction and communication are experienced intensively. The repetition of the digital context by creating its own coding, expression and transfer forms has led to its own traditions. Each virtual community has its own traditional structure. Technology has transferred the old traditions, re-produced, invented new traditions. The internet, which constitutes one of the important places in the creation of new folklore subjects, has created new culture types. New communication tools have created a new field of folklore. This study includes various evaluations on the relationships between oral tradition products and folklore products that occur on the internet. Folklore in the virtual world, working methods, ethical rules, problems encountered, the relationship between oral culture and electronic culture, the transformation of tradition in the virtual world are examined.
