Abstract

THE EFFECT OF THE CULTURE TURNS IN CULTURE STUDIES TO THE CULTURE ORIENTED THEORIES OF TRANSLATİON
1970s have witnessed a paradigm shift in the translation field due to the fact that lingustics oriented theories lost their significances and instead culture oriented ones came into prominence. It is clear that various culture oriented theories have been developed and the cultural phenomenon has come into prominence in the translation studies so far . With a new paradigm in the translation field, linguistics started losing its dominant position and as a result, culture oriented studies became popular in the translation field, which, however, does not mean that assessments in this regard are not only confined to this field. If we confine field only to the translation field, there may be some misunderstandings regarding culture oriented theories, which are available in the translation field. In this study, we also make connections with cultural turns, which particularly occur in cultural studies and in doing so analyze translation theories.
