Abstract

MEANINGFUL WORDS TO GET USED IN TURKISH ıTS STRUCTURES AND MEANING OF RELATIONSHIPS
That Turkish is an agglutinative language provides a different point of view on the relations among notions established by Turkish people within the framework of language-mind relations. However, the variations of meaning from concrete to abstract may cause the function of a given suffix become obscure. For example, although there is reciprocal suffix –ış on the verb of alış-, this function cannot be sensed from the meanings given to the verb. If the other verbs found in the conceptual field of alış- are examined, the reciprocal function becomes more sensible. These verbs hint reciprocatily in their meanings. In the present study, which notions attributed to alış- and the other words found in the same conceptual field in Turkish thought are explained with the samples form modern and historical dialects.

Keywords
