Turkish folk narrations have some archaic elements which can be taken back to mythologic period and they have continued their existence by struggling against different cultural elements from the begining to present. And also, Turkish folk narrations incorporate richness that come from different cultures and religions with the effect of long historical bacground. However, in terms of Turkish culture policy ,all these richness of folk culture doesn’t get the attention that it deserves when we compare with modern world. Because for years, the cultural richness is considered as the remains of history not the collective memory. In recent years, some samples of folk culture such as story, myth and epic have come to the fore again thanks to the improvement of audio visual arts and literary studies in these fields have increased in number. Within this framework, Keloglan fables which is one of the most important values of Turkish World, are reformed as cartoons in such a way that attract new generations's attention. In accordance with this purpose, ‘Keloglan’ fables was fictionalized and published on TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) as cartoon with the aspect of culture policy and pedagogical role without touching upon historical texture and tale elements. The characters of the cartoon were interpretted if they are suitable for today’s conditions in terms of epic elements and non epic elements. And also important elements of this kind of works that must be concentrated on, were remarked.
