Abstract
A REVIEW ON THE DENEME MAGAZINE
Sadık Ayaz is the owner and responsible director of Deneme magazine, which was published in Eskişehir with fourteen issues between April 1971 and June 1972. The magazine, which was published as a monthly art magazine, included articles in the types of poems, stories, essays, plays, diaries and reviews. The magazine, which is mostly published by high school students, has drawn attention even though it is a provincial publication. Bringing together names such as Nabi Avcı, Haydar Ergülen, Ahmet Kot, Metin Önal Mengüşoğlu, Cumali Hasannebioğlu, Erdem Bayazıt, Atasoy Müftüoğlu, Deneme later continues to appear in Ankara under the name Gelişme. The journal, in which most of the names are written using pen-names, draws attention especially with its essay type articles. Stories and poems were written with an innovative approach, far from the classical style, in the magazine, which had a harsh attitude against the literary understanding, materialism, the West and alienation popularized in the sixties.
