Abstract
CLASSIFICATION OF THE MECMU'A-I GAZELIYAT AND EŞ'AR REGISTERED WITH NUMBER NEKTY03296 IN THE ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY RARE WORKS LIBRARY ACCORDING TO MESTAP
Journals are important texts in the field of literary history in order to analyze the periods correctly. As of the period they were written, they appear as works that we can directly follow the poetry and aesthetic understanding of literary circles. They allow us to access important data about the popularity of the poets of the period in which they were written, to discover poets whose works have not survived, or to repair the mistakes and defects in the poems of poets whose divans have survived. In this study, we have examined the work called Mecmû'a-i Gazeliyât ve Eş'âr registered in Istanbul University Rare Works Library, number NEKTY03296. First, general information about the journals is given. Afterwards, the journal was examined and introduced in terms of language and spelling features. The poets in the journal, how many poems they are included in the journal, the verse forms in which the poems are written, and the prosody patterns of these poems are given in tables. The journal consists of 76 leaves. It contains a total of 550 poems, 63 of which are in Persian, 7 are in Arabian and 480 are in Turkish. These poems were written by poets who lived between the 15th and 19th centuries. The aim of our study is to introduce this journal, to give information about its content and to make it available to researchers. Our journal study has been prepared in accordance with the Systematic Classification of Journals Project (MESTAP).
