Abstract
BUSH SWEEPING FROM TRADITIONAL TURKISH HANDICRAFTS IN GÖLKÖY VILLAGE IN BOLU CENTER
In the historical process, Anatolia is a geography that has hosted countless civilizations from past to present. When these civilizations are examined, it is seen that they have also created some concrete cultural elements such as their unique lifestyle, belief values and handicrafts.
These tangible cultural heritages may differ due to factors such as the cultural texture of the region where they emerged or produced, climatic conditions, natural raw materials and economic conditions.
In Gölköy village, which is one of the villages of the central district of Bolu province, the art of broommaking was a common occupation in the past, but as a result of the researches, it has been observed that it is almost completely losing its prevalence today.
The subject of the research is the art of broom making, which is one of the traditional handicrafts. The materials used in the construction of the broom, the raw materials used, the stages of construction, the state of the art from the past to the present are also the issues that are tried to be given information about the study.
For the study, the literature on the subject was searched and the main frame of the study was created. During the field research, various information was obtained by using the observation and interview (interview) technique and this information was recorded.
