Abstract
EXAMINATION OF THE ABDULKADIR TÖRE- EKREM KARADENIZ COLLECTION AND THE MISCELLANEOUS FASIL NO. 48 IN TURKISH MUSIC
The transfer of songs in Turkish music has been by “meshk” from the past to the last period. Along with the use of the Western note in Turkish music, precious music teachers have written works in the repertoire of Turkish music and works they have learned through meshk with the western note system using the Ottoman-Turkish alphabet and created collections. Abdulkadir Töre and Ekrem Karadeniz collection is one of the most important of these collections that are the subject of our research. In this article, Abdulkadir Töre-Ekrem Karadeniz Collection in Süleymâniye Library, which is one of the important sources of the repertoire in Turkish music, is introduced and the Book of Miscellaneous Chapters No. 48 in this collection is examined. In our study, firstly, information on the life and art of Abdulkadir Töre and Ekrem Karadeniz was given. Then, the distribution of the notebooks in this collection is given in tabular form. All the works in the miscellaneous fasıl book numbered 48 are shown in tabular form together with their composer, maqam and procedure. The notes of these works were mainly compared with the notes of today, and the differences in notes were determined. In our research, these differences are revealed in the conclusion section, this situation has a special importance in terms of the performance of Turkish music works in different versions. The aim of our study is to introduce the chapters in the book numbered 48 by considering their maqam, rhythm and lyrics and to reveal that these works are in our repertoire.
