Abstract
CLASSIFICATION OF MECMUA-İ EBYAT VE ŞARKI GAZELİYAT ACCORDING TO MESTAP IN ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY LIBRARY OF RARE WORKS
Journals are important Works that contribute to Classical Turkish literature research. Mecmuas meaning “to bring together, to gather” are derived from the Arabic infinitive “cem”. They are accumulation of many poems written by different poets in different verse forms.
Mecmuas, which bring together many poets who do not have a divan and whose identity cannot be determined, are important sources in terms of shedding light on our literature.
The subject of our study is between 1b-28a, 5bb-82a pages of the work named Mecmua-i Ebyat and Şarkı Gazeliyat, which is registered inİstanbul University Rare Works Library NEKTY033990 our study is based on the analysis of texts, the transcription an comparison of the texts. Mecmua consist of 82 pages. The pages containing many poems written in Arabic and Persian are not included in the table. The number of poems belonging to the poets in the journal, the verse forms used and the aruz measure of these poems are given in tables continuation of our study, between 28b-55a leaflets, is studied by Esma Güngör a graduate student of Sakarya University Old Turkish Literature. The classifi cation of the caplets in the journal has been prepared in accordance with the Systematic Classificatian of journals Projects (MESTAP).SAU Social Sciences İnstitute thesis writing guide is based on the writing rules of the thesis.
