Abstract
THE WORLD PERCEPTION OF A BALKAN POET NI·HÂNÎ (NACAK FÂZIL) AND EXAMPLES FROM HIS RELIGIOUS AND MYSTICAL POEMS
The place and importance of religious and mystical poems in classical Turkish literature, which is a mirror of Turkish culture and civilisation, cannot be denied. Since it is one of the main sources of this literature, divan poets have shown great interest in verses, hadiths, other sayings of religious origin and Sufi terminology. One of these poets is Nihânî (Nacak Fâzıl), a Balkan poet of Albanian origin. Almost all of Nihani's divan is full of religious and mystical poems. In this respect, it is seen that Nihani influenced other poets, such as the poet Medhi, who wrote tahmis to his Sufi poems. The concept that Nihani deals with the most in his religious-sufic poems is the concept of "world". In this respect, firstly, a brief information about the poet will be given in our study, and then the poet's perception of the world and his perspective on existence will be evaluated by giving examples from his poems. Afterwards, in the context of the poet's understanding of wahdat-kasret, an evaluation will be made on the ideas of being single/individual, being true dextrous, not being grateful to anyone other than Allah, and being humble. These evaluations will be presented under five main headings. In the first heading, where the perception of the world will be evaluated, the characteristics of the world will be listed under subheadings and the recommended actions against these characteristics will be given under subheadings.
