Abstract
NATION STATE FORMATION AND LANGUAGE REVOLUTION
After the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire and the proclamation of the Republic, some reforms and revolutions were made to create a new nation and national culture. One of the most important cultural revolutions in the Republic of Turkey is the Turkish Language Revolution. During the process of establishing national identity in the newly established Turkish state, it is aimed to instill awareness of history and national identity in new generations through Turkish literature. At this point, language plays an active and important role. In the process of formation of nations, the formation of a "canon" in literature has become inevitable in order to create a common language, common culture and common consciousness. In Turkey the "nationalist canon" established during the II. Constitutional Monarchy period continued its existence after the Republic. The writers and poets of the canon, which is known by names such as national, nationalist and revolutionary canon, support the Language Revolution and are similar in terms of subject, narrative style and vocabulary.
