Abstract
BY CRIMINAN TATAR POET YUNUS TEMİRKAYA A RESEARCH ON HIS LIFE, LITERARY PERSON AND WORKS
Yunus Temirkaya contributed to Crimean Tatar literature, especially his poems; He is an extremely productive figure who served for nearly seventy years with his verse stories, translations and articles. Temirkaya, who came to the fore with his lyrical poems before the 1944 exile, focused more on social issues after the exile. He struggled with poverty at every stage of his life, experienced the 1921 Famine, became an orphan at the age of 6, was exposed to the 1944 Exile, struggled with diseases, experienced the loss of a child, but he never lost anything from his fondness for his homeland and nation. In this research, information is given about the life, literary personality and works of Yunus Temirkaya, one of the important poets of Crimean Tatar literature. In this regard, it has been tried to determine Yunus Temirkaya's position in Crimean Tatar literature, based on the findings obtained from Temirkaya's own works and Crimean Tatar literature sources. Additionally, as a result of the literature review we conducted within the scope of our research, it was determined that no scientific study has been conducted about the poet in question in Turkey. Based on this, our research aims to make an important personality like Yunus Temirkaya more known.
