Abstract
ANALYSING THE STORY OF KIRMANŞAH IN THE LIGHT OF EPIC RULES OF FOLK NARRATIVES
Folk tales, epic, tale, legend, such as genres such as epic, fairy tale, legend, in terms of having a mixed form of prose and verse is separated. The folk tales that emerged after the epic period are largely characterised by its characteristics on it. However, it is also a unique genre with many new features. Axel Olrik, the twentieth at the beginning of the century, he began to work on the epic laws of folk narratives. As a result of this, he was able to find out the common epic laws of the narratives he called ‘sage’, which include myths, folk songs, epics and legends put forward the rules. By analysing the texts of European folk literature, he developed the rules of folk narratives in fifteen as a title. Researchers have analysed these rules on different genres and texts until today. In this study, the epic rules of folk narratives were applied to Kirmanşah compiled from the folk story Âşık Şeref Taşlıova and determinations were made within the framework of these rules.
