Abstract
ANIMAL NAMES CONTAINED IN THE SCOPE OF THE CONCEPT 'TÖRT TÜLİK' IN KAZAKH TURKISH
Some of the animals were domesticated and part of them with their place in the nature have entered the human life and took place in the language and culture of the societies. Animals demonstrate the lifestyles of communities and individuals. Animals are of great importance in the life of the Turks because they have the characteristics of being a warrior and a hunter society. Particularly in Kazak Turks, who once dominated nomadic lifestyles, animals have a distinct place, especially horses, camels, cattle, sheep and goats. Because these animals are used as vehicles, they also meet the needs of all people as food, drinks and clothing. These animals are given the general name of 'tört tülik' in Kazakh Turkish. It has been noticed that the animals in the context of 'tört tülik' have a variety of names according to their gender, age, color, physical and biological characteristics.in the Kazakh Turkish vocabulary. In the study, the names used in the Kazakh Turkish for the mentioned animal species were researched and the vocabulary that was detected was examined and evaluated according to the concept areas. Thus, the tendency of Kazakh Turks in naming living creatures living in the Kazakh geography and in observing the nature and animals was determined. At the same time, the vocabulary of animal names under the scope of "tört tülik" was revealed and the richness of Kazakh Turkish was revealed.
