Abstract
POSTNODERNISM IN LEVENT METE’S NOVEL NAMED “AŞK ROMANLARI YAZAN ADAM”
In the beginning of 20th century, an understanding of reshaped form, fiction, narrative techniques, time, style, and novel aesthetic features come to existence. This understanding, “postmodernism” as a way of life and thought, is settled in society in a short period of time, although it leads to controversy and criticism as against the traditional. The postmodern theory is in opposition to the elements of the reflective novel aesthetic and reinterprets them. Postmodernism, contrary to modern thought, populist cultural critical gaze, has turned to history, tradition and the public.
Levent Mete is an artist who draws attention in this respect in Turkish novel. One of the works of Mete, who is a professional psychiatrist, is “Aşk Romanları Yazan Adam”. In this work, Levent Mete's novel “Aşk Romanları Yazan Adam”, which deals with his works in a postmodern line, will be tried to be evaluated with the help of metafiction which is one of the postmodern theory techniques
