Abstract
POLYMORPHISM AND HOMONYMY IN THE PREPARATION OF GLOSSARY OF NAMES OF PLANT AND ANIMALS
With the transcription texts of the historical works, many examples of multi-format voice recordings take place in today's local context studies. The same plant or animal species are expressed in different texts or in different regions with different names. Moreover, the use of quoted words in Turkish phrases has also influenced multiformity. Another problem in the dictionary preparation stage of plant and animal names is the spoken language. In the same way two or three different plants or animals can meet the demand. It is also the case that the plant name is used instead of the animal name instead of the animal name. Writing different forms of pronunciation in different regions and trying to preserve the writing style reveals the variety of form and meaning. In the process of creating Turkish dictionaries, the alignment of dictionary units is a problem. These problems, which are regarded as names such as homonym, similar naming, similar writing, multiformity, also manifest themselves in the preparation of the vocabularies of plant and animal names. In this study, solutions to the problem of multiformity and co-voice (homonym) encountered during the arrangement of plant and animal names in historical Turkish dialects which were compiled and assembled before were presented.
