Abstract
WOMEN'S PROPERTY IN THE HISTORY OF NOMADIC SOCIETIES
Junko Miyawaki’s presentation in the Meeting of the Permanent International Altaistic Conference could be accepted as an important source about Nomadic Kingship based on marital alliances. According to the presented text, women had rights to dominate the men and control their property both they brought from their own home and inherited from their husbunds. Examples were selected from history depending on various historical texts. After reading this text, it is possible to have a picture in mind about the rights of women in those times. It is also possible to form a framework about marital tradition and customs.
