Abstract
ABOUT THE POETRY MECMUA REGISTERED AT NUMBER T445 IN İSTANBUL UNIVERSITY RARE WORKS LIBRARY
Poetry mecmuas are works which bring the poems (verse and prose) in different genre and form belonging to different poets together. Mecmuas are important texts because they give place to poems of various known or unknown poets often regardless of the century difference. In addition, they have maintained their importance among the auxiliary sources of our literature history and especially the field of Classical Turkish Literature because they reflect culture, history and literary taste of their compilers and the period they were compiled. When determining the literature history, the presence of mecmuas should not be ignored. Sometimes, even the poems which do not take place in the published divan of a poet have been determined in mecmuas.
