Abstract
THE EFFECT OF CREATIVE DRAMA AND FOLK DANCE STUDIES ON THE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF PRIMARY EDUCATION SECOND LEVEL STUDENTS
The general aim of this research is to examine whether creative drama and Turkish folk dance activities have an impact on the development of social skills in primary school II students. It turns out that some learning methods are effective in realizing the social development of the students and thus acquiring social skills. With these methods, particularly creative drama comes to the fore. The origin of the drama is the game, and the game is intertwined with the drama. The Social Skills Evaluation Scale was applied to the counseling teachers of the students who took part in the research as a pre-test. At the end of the process, was applied as a post test to counseling teachers. The Social Skills Evaluation Scale aims to measure the skills that are important to support communication disabilities in improving social interaction. It is a Likert type scale that was created as a 5-point rating. Includes the social skills that children between the ages of 7 and 12 should have. In this process; a total of 10 workshops were carried out, including 5 creative dramas, 2 creative dramas and dance, 3 dance workshops. Before analyzing the Social Skills Evaluation Scale data, a normality test was carried out. After statistical evaluation of the pre and post test for the sub-factors of the development of social skills scale, basic conversation, relationship initiation, relationship maintenance, group employment, ability to give instructions, cognitive skills, it was found that the post test results show a significant difference compared to the pre test results.
