Abstract
FORM FEATURES OF VERSE ORATORICAL SPEECH IN KAZAKH ORAL TRADITION
Oratorical speech or the words of bey (gentleman) that developed as a different form of Turkish oral literature tradition have a crucial place in Kazakh folk literature. The Oratorical speech/ the words of bey is an example of a ready-made response with a quick wit and at the same time clarifying and solving a certain event, and they are deeply meaningful words that have been adopted by the people and that are spread by word of mouth and passed on to the next generations. These words are quotations that reflect the traditions, customs, beliefs, life and world perception of the society, which are spoken by Oratorics/bey (gentlemen) based on their knowledge, manners and life experiences, and have qualities similar to proverbs. Oratorical speech is words of wisdom that are spoken by bi / oratorics within the framework of an event / situation and transformed into oral literature products that have become widespread among the people either in a simple form or in narratives that have been narrated around these individuals. Analyzing Kazakh Oratorical speech is significant in determining and evaluating the place of these words in Turkish culture. Oratorical speech can be examined from various aspects according to its form, content and sources. In the study, oratorical speech was examined in terms of their formal features, and it was observed that the lyrics that were spoken in verse or included in narratives with narration were compatible with the genres, in terms of rhyme, it has been observed that it is compatible with the genres and restrained words in the Turkish poetry tradition.
