Abstract
IDENTITY PROBLEM FOR THE TURKISCH YOUT IN GERMANY AND OFFERS FOR THE SOLUTION OF THESE PROBLEMS IN THE LIGHT OF LITERARY WORK OF SCHEINHARDT, “DREİ ZYPRESSEN”
One of the most important subject of the literature of foreigners is the problem of identity. A lot of things about problem of identity are observed when we analyze Scheinhardt’s stories. Foreigners who they have to leave their native environment, they have to live in another world, another culture, nonotheless who they have many conflict with the environment and family give rise to problem of identity. These foreigners, who they live in different society, clear off and alienate to the culture of their own country. This alienation shows itself on the area of the politics an the religion and it causes the increase of the problem of identity.
Saliha Scheinhardt, one of the prominent woman of literati of Turkish origin living in Germany, has written many German book for over 40 years and has won many award in this way. Identity problem of the Turkish familes, who had been immigrated to Germany in the years of 1960 due to labour force requirement, and edentity problems of Turkish youth, who have been born and grown up in Germany or immigrated there during early ages, will be disscussed in this assay. Following a brief information about Scheinhardt and immigrant literature in the opening chapter, and displaying identity problems of Turkish youth living in Germany and revealing the reasons why these problems developped, it is intended to determine solution proposals for these problems.
